A dear friend and former colleague now lives with her hubby & huge "puppy" in rural France.
Muriel takes her beloved dog for walks in this forest. This past winter, she took a magical photo that showcased these glowing colors.

A professional dancer and artist herself, Muriel very kindly gave me permission to try to capture that moment in a painting.

If you'd like to see photos of the gradual creation, from the acrylic underdrawing & underpainting to the application of impasto oil pigments, let me know. :-)
